DEAF MINISTRIES

Conway UMC is one of the few churches in the Orlando area whose services are interpreted at both 8:30 and 11:00 Sunday services.  American Sign Language is used.  We also have tactile signing (signing in the hands for deaf/blind).  A class to learn American Sign Language is ongoing and welcomes new participants.  This class also expands into a signing choir that participates with the Chancel Choir in seasonal programs such as the Easter and Christmas cantatas.

We have a Sunday School class for the Deaf at 9:45 located in the Family Life Center, Room 103.

If you are interested in learning to sign, classes run for ten consecutive Tuesdays beginning on September 1, 6 - 8:00 pm.  We have both beginning and advanced classes.   It is located in Rooms 102 and 103 in the Family Life Center.
