Safe People

Seeking Help with Relationships?

Have you ever given your best and gotten the worst in return?  The wounds inflicted by an "unsafe" person can go deep.  If you were ever in a relationship where you were used, abused, or abandoned, then Safe People is for you.  It will help you make wise choices in relationships from friendship to romance.  You'll discover why good people can get tangled in bad relationships.  And you'll learn how to avoid repeating your own mistakes and how to pick safe, healthy people for the friends you make and the company you keep.

What began as an offshoot of the Divorce Recovery Series, which was geared toward those who are well along on their path toward recovery, this now continues for anyone interested in learning how to improve their lives.  We intend this to be a continuing group to study interpersonal relationships and how to make the most of the relationships in your life.  Our next unit is based on the best selling book by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, Safe People, subtitled "How to Find Relationships That Are Good for You and Avoid Those That Aren't."

Join us Sunday evenings, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Library at Callaway Hall.  This group is facilitated by Steve Marshall.  For more information, please call the church office at (407) 277-5010, or Steve at (407) 683-4863.  You can also contact the church office by email.
