YOUTH SUMMER MAIN EVENT!!!!!!

 

Plans for our S.I.F.A.T. trip are underway!  Dates are filling fast!!!

 

Conway will plan on taking their trip to Service in Faith and Technology for their last week of youth programs.

 

YOUTH, PARENTS, and ADULT WORKERS PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR JULY 26-AUGUST 1st! 

 

However, we may be returning on August 2nd as plans are finalized.  This end date will depend on the number of drivers we have and when the S.I.F.A.T. program ends.  So for now you might wish to plan for a bonus day of travel.

 

Please have your student pick up commitment and informational flyers. Then, Return the commitment form and the $50 non-refundable deposit for the summer trip by Sunday March 30, 2008 so space doesn't fill up before we ACT!!! 

 

The Learn and Serve weekend is specifically geared towards youth!!!

What is Learn & Serve?

It will be the best week of your summer!!!!

Learn & Serve is a ministry of SIFAT (Servants in Faith and Technology), whose goal is to expose students, as well as their adult leaders, to living conditions and social injustice issues occurring in third world (or developing) countries today. Through that exposure, it hopes to plant a seed and empower those who attend to go back to their community and make an impact in some way. The hope is that they at some point experience missions in another country and catch a vision of what they can be doing right now that could make a real difference in someone's life.

Adult volunteers:    For every 6 students of one gender we need an adult of the same gender.  If you are able and willing to come to learn about the living conditions and social injustices AND ENJOY WORKING WITH YOUTH then this weekend is for you too!  Please contact Cindy Harris at 407-222-2916 if you would be willing to serve in this way and come back inspired to touch our community here.  You will be making an impact in the lives of these teens attending our youth program!  We also need at least two adults who can be approved or are already approved to drive the 15-passenger vans.
